Romie G. Constant

Romie G. "Pop" Constant, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on May 6, 2016. He was Baptist by faith. "Pop" was an Army Veteran. He was the past President of the International Union of Elevators Constructors Local 20. Romie was a Kentucky Colonel and a Free Mason. He was the owner of Holly Elevator Company.

He was an avid University of Louisville fan and enjoyed the company of family and friends.

Romie was born on March 27th in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky to the late James and Vera (Cobb) Constant. He was also preceded in death by his great-grandson, Sage Thomas Sutton.

Romie is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maggie Sue Constant; son, Gary G. Constant (Pam) of Lafayette, IN; granddaughter, Leslea Constant; grandson, Chad Constant; and great-granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth Lucas.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, May 9, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville). His Funeral Ceremony will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Louisville with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery (4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville).

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
