Roger Darrell Phillips

April 3, 1955 — December 10, 2020

Roger Darrell Phillips, age 65 of Louisville, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020. He was a Construction Project Manager and an excellent carpenter. Roger was also a Kentucky Colonel and a former volunteer fire fighter. He was born on April 3, 1955 in Fort Smith, Arkansas and was an Army "brat". Growing up his family lived all over the United States and Germany. Roger loved the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing and working in the yard. He genuinely loved horse racing and the Kentucky Derby. He was always more than willing to help anyone who asked. Roger is preceded in death by his father, Roger W. Phillips.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Terri Simmons Phillips; his children, Amanda Michelle West (Michael), Austin Martin Phillips and Alayne Marie Henly (Christopher); his mother, Anna Phillips; sisters, Marcia Kayrouz, Denice Phillips, Rhonda Alexander (Mike); brothers, Norman Phillips, Kenny Phillips (June) and Randy Phillips; many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Due to Covid restrictions and at the family's request, services are private.
