Roger Dale Lopp, a loving brother, father and talented craftsman, gently departed this world on November 2, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. He was 71 years old, born on May 23, 1954, in New Albany, Indiana, where his life story began and flourished.

Roger dedicated his career as a specialty cabinet maker, using his remarkable skills to create beautiful, functional works of art. He also worked for the Lorillard Tobacco Company, where he brought his hardworking spirit and honesty to every task he undertook. His creativity became not only a profession but also a passion that overflowed into his hobbies. Roger enjoyed fishing, was an avid storyteller, and took great delight in crafting handmade items such as planes, boats, birdhouses, and various woodworking projects. His hands were never idle, always creating something special while cherishing moments spent with his family.

As an alumnus of Floyd Central High School, Roger carried the values he learned throughout his life. He was known for his compassion, loyalty, and an unwavering commitment to his family. He took immense pride in watching his family grow, delighting in each new milestone and achievement. Roger's family was his greatest joy, and his love for them was a testament to the devoted husband and father he was.

He is survived by his daughters, Megan Root and Carrie Bentley; his grandchildren, Brock Root, Leela Root, and Eavie Root. Roger shared a special bond with his siblings; Paul Lopp, Patricia Barker, Marshall (Cathie) Lopp, Faye (Kevin) Lally, Merle "Tony" Lopp, Robert "Timmy" Lopp (Sharon), James Lopp, and Judy Murphy (Don). He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Roger is now reunited in spirit with his beloved wife, Colleen Rose Lopp, who has been waiting for him, as well as his father, Orlan Lopp, his mother, Della Lopp, and his brother, Louis Lopp.
