Robert Wayne Thompson Sr.

Thompson, Robert Wayne Sr; "Bobby", age 60, a lifelong resident of Louisville, KY, passed away Saturday March 7, 2015.

Bobby was a graduate of duPont Manual High School and then served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked most of his life with his Uncle Nugget as a home remodeling contractor. Bobby enjoyed spending time with his closest relatives his Uncle & Aunt, Larry (Nugget) & Relda Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert William Thompson of Louisville, KY, his mother, Dorothy Elaine Badger-Thompson-Hampton of Jeffersonville, IN, his brother, Terry Lee Thompson of New Albany, IN; and all four of his grandparents.

Bobby is survived by his daughters, Tammy Michelle Thompson Garrett of Mt. Washington, KY, Angela Michelle Thompson Deatherage of Union, KY, his son, Robert Wayne Thompson Jr. of Louisville, KY; four grandsons; sisters Brenda Sue Thompson of Richardson, TX, Debra Kay Thompson-Armstrong of Six Mile, SC, and Patricia Ann Thompson-Russell of Spencer, TN.; and several loving nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday March 13, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home-Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy., Louisville, KY). Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
