Robert Lee "Zeke" Ward, 72, of Paoli, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021. Robert was a veteran of the Vietnam War in which he served as a Marine. He had a love for animals, fishing, and sharing his witty sense of humor with family and friends.
He was born on April 15, 1949, in Clarksville, Indiana, to the late William and Ella Mae (Mc-Clusky) Ward. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Diana Ward Hinton; his brothers, Billy Ray Ward, Anthony Ward, Paul Ward, and Frank Ward; and grandson, Avery Dean.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Ward; children, Milissa (Anthony) Hargrove, Shanon Ward Atwood, Candice Cee Lee, and Mauri (Tommy) Cox; sister, Rose Vest; and grandchildren, Jacob and Laren Hargrove, Madison and Thomas Cox, and Riley Taulbee.
Cremation was chosen following Robert's wishes. He will be laid to rest at New Albany National Cemetery at a later date.
