Robert Louis Tinsley, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on April 4, 2018. He was a member of Promised Land Community Church and NAACP of Louisville, KY.
Robert was born on February 6, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. Tinsley and Mary Tinsley and one sister, Lucretia Tinsley Berry; and one aunt, Della Tinsley.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Jayne Johnson Tinsley; children, Ashanti Johnson, Corey Johnson, Daesha Blaking and Robert Blaking, Jr.; siblings, Hydric Timothy Tinsley (Stacy) and Valerie Tinsley Styles (Charles); 22 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), with a funeral service to honor the life of Robert will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Promised Land Community Church (5726 Outer Loop, Louisville, KY 40219)
