Robert Thomas

Robert "Bob" Thomas, 66, of Louisville joined his son and parents in Heaven on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Norton Audubon Hospital ending his courageous 15 year battle with cancer. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 18, 1949 to the late Melvin Lloyd and Mary Thomas. He was retired from the Kroger Transportation Company and was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Robbie Thomas.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Janet Thomas; children, Amy Thomas (Michael), Charlie Thomas (Allison) and Adam Thomas; six grandchildren, Dylan, Noah, Caleb, Eli, Isabella and Frankie; a sister, Charlotte Caple (Danny); a brother, Eddie Thomas (Marie); and a host of other family members and friends.

A gathering will be 4:00 -8:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway.

In Lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Kosair Charities or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
