Robert "Bob" Wayne Shaw

Robert “Bob” Wayne Shaw, of Kentucky, passed away on October 3, 2026, in Leitchfield, Kentucky, at the age of 79. He was born on January 1, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Bob graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and went on to build his career as a color technician, from which he later retired. He was a long-time member of Southeast Christian Church and was a devout follower of Christ whose faith shaped the way he lived and cared for others.

He will be remembered as a loving father and as someone who brought joy to those around him. Bob enjoyed making people smile and laugh with his jokes, and his warm spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He always looked for the good in everyone and everything, and that positive outlook made him a bright light in the lives of so many. He also found happiness in singing and playing his guitar, sharing his love of music with those around him.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Tina Williams and Tamara Martell. He also leaves behind his granddaughter, Sadie Allen; his grandson, Dalton Shaw; and his great-grandson, Hunter Allen. They carry forward the love, laughter, and faith that were such important parts of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Garvin Shaw; his mother, Jewell Coffee Shaw; his son, David Wayne Shaw; and his brothers, Jerry Lee Shaw and William “Bill” Shaw.

Visitation will be held on October 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. The funeral service will follow there at 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. A graveside service will take place the same day from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Bob will be remembered with love for his kindness, his laughter, his faith, and the goodness he so freely shared with others. His memory will remain a blessing to his family and friends.
