Robert Carl Pierce

Robert Carl "Bob" Pierce, age 84 of Louisville, originally from Richton Park, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center. He was an Army Veteran, and was in insurance sales for most of his career. Bob was a member of Masonic Abraham Lodge 8, a Shriner, a member of Eastern Star Willis Stewart 343 and was involved in Scouting and the Explorers for over 50 years. Bob was also active in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Harris and Eva Irene Hanes Pierce; sons, Henry Pierce and Robert Carl Pierce, II; siblings, John Pierce, Edward "Eddie" Pierce, Nancy Pierce (Logan), David Pierce, Harry Pierce and Mary Pierce.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of almost 63 years, Sheryll; his children, Teresa "Terri" Wright (John), Timothy "Tim" Pierce, Deborah "Debbie" Maddox-Brown (Richard); 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, Tobias "Toby" Weaver; brother, Roy Benjamin Pierce; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Corsaro Pierce; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 4-8pm Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, and 9:30am to 1pm on Thursday, February 1st. A celebration of Bob's life will be 1pm Thursday, February 1st at the funeral home.
