Robert Douglas Miller

Robert Douglas Miller, also known as "RD" and "Doug", age 70 of Goshen, Kentucky passed away unexpectedly at home from a heart complication on Thursday July 16th. He was born on Christmas Eve 1955 to his parents Bob and June. After graduating from Waggener High School, he became a custom picture framer. RD was a beloved and well-known musician in Louisville for over 50 years with “The Pranksters”. As an artist, he loved creating and sharing his art with friends.

RD was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and June Clements Miller.

RD is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janet Buckman Miller; son, Ryan Douglas Miller (Meghan); Shannon Miller Pendleton (Warren); grandsons, Henry Douglas Miller and Archer Mason Pendleton; sister, Denise Cobb; and nephew, Brian Cobb; in-laws, Charles and Peggy Buckman Murphy; niece, Kimberly M Laun; great-nieces, Annaleigh Redmon and Eleanor Laun and many extended family and countless friends.

Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of RD's life will follow at 12pm at the funeral home.
