Robert Eble Miles, Sr.

Robert Eble Miles, Sr., age 83 of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Robert was born on July 27, 1938 to Jane Eble and John Hannibal Miles in Louisville KY. Robert attended Male High School and UK and was a sergeant in the U.S. Army. Robert owned Obermeier's Hardware Store and was a self-taught general contractor his whole life. He was a faithful member of Southeast Christian Church, Crestwood, where he attended men's groups, volunteered and made lifelong friends. He grew up with horses and spent his last years living and working happily on his son and daughter-in-law's horse farm.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Ginger Miles Knox (Craig); son, Robert Eble Miles, Jr. (Rachel); his grandchildren, Hunter Teague Fischesser (Eric), James Grant Teague, Jr., Charles Kellerman Teague, William Austin Miles, Tyler Cosmo Knox, Connor Wade Knox, and Kristen and Kellen Pierce; and great-grandson, Barron Stone Fischesser; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 10:30am to 12:30pm at Southeast Christian Church Crestwood Campus, 6220 Crestwood Station, Crestwood, KY 40014. A celebration of Robert's life will be there at 12:30pm, with burial to follow at Floydsburg Cemetery.
