Robert Miles Norton

Robert Miles "Nube" Norton, 90, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at his home. He was born on July 6, 1926, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Frank and Nell (Carson) Norton. Robert was a draftsman at DuPont for over 30 years and was a United States Navy veteran. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, friends, and his dachshunds.

Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lee (Schuley) Norton. He is survived by his loving daughters, Laura Norton (Ronald Turner) and Julie Schaefer (Dwight); and grandchildren, Brent Bagshaw (Cindy), Sarah Bobal (Andrew), and Sam Schaefer.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday with visitation before from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

The family would like to express gratitude to the caregivers and Hosparus nurses for the excellent care they have provided to Robert over the years.
