Robert "Bob" "Mac" McAnally, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020. Bob served in the United States Army and Retired. He served during the Gulf War, and was a member of 1st Armored Division known as the "Old Ironsides". His Military career was spent in Fort Knox and Germany, where he loved to travel throughout Europe. Bob received the Bronze Star, Kuwait Liberation Medal, and several other Military Medals. His true Love was his daughter Charlene, and his dogs Bella & Jill. Bob was an avid University of Louisville Sports fan, and Chicago Cubs. In his spare time Bob enjoyed cooking for others and playing golf.
He was born on January 16, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky to Edgar and Mary Theresa (Speckner) McAnally. He is preceded in death by his Parents, and Sister, Patricia McAnally.
Bob is survived by his Daughter, Charlene McAnally, Brother, Thomas (Gaynor) McAnally, Sisters, Helen Minor, Barbara Latham, Terry (Tim) McKiernan, Cathy (Billy) Hayes, Sara Berger, and Mary (Tony) Killian. Bob also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, August 12th, at 11:00 am at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
