Robert Leen

Robert Leen, 48, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019.

He was born on May 4, 1971 in Fontana, California to William Leen and Carol Stillwell. Robert was a Veteran of the Gulf War who served his country proudly. He was a patriot who loved the United States of America. Robert was a part of the Wounded Warriors Project, the Paralyzed Veterans of America, and Help Our Military Heroes Organization. He enjoyed spending his time playing golf and was a participant in the Wounded Warriors Olympics. Robert was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts. He loved to make sure his Nieces and Nephews had plenty of chocolate and toys that made noise. Robert battled with MS for over 10 years, but through it all he always had an amazing outlook on life.

He is preceded in death by his Father, William Leen, and his Grandfather, Robert Patrick Leen, who was a Tanker in the Spearhead Division as was Robert.

Robert is survived by his loving Wife of 26 years, Dawn M. Leen, Mother, Carol (Ron) Stillwell, Daughter, Natasha R. Acra, Brothers, William (Brittney) Leen and Thomas (Shannon) Leen, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Extended Family, and Friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Dr.). A service celebrating Robert's life will be on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 10:30 am at the funeral home with burial with military honors to follow at 1:00 PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
