Robert "Rooster" Lanier Sr., 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Robert loved being with his family. Rooster was loved by everyone in his community. He never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by the family and friends that will continue his legacy. He was the life of every party and always had a smile on his face. Robert served in the US Marine Corps.
He was born on July 17, 1950 in Huntsville, Alabama to Will and Lucille (Rice) Lanier. He is preceded in death by his Father, Will E. Lanier, Mother, Lucille Lanier, and brother, Bobby Lanier.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara A. Lanier; 3 sons, Robert L. Lanier, Jr., Cavin Lanier, Derrick Moore; one daughter, Stacy (Kerry) Warfield; 4 grandchildren, Dericka, Jasmine, Jessica, Joshua; 4 great-grandchildren, Curion, Derrion, Kamden, Kayvion, Selena. As well as a host of family and friends to cherish his loving memory.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions all services will be private.
The family requests that contributions in Robert's memory be made to the family.
