Listen to Obituary

Robert A. Langdon Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle departed this world on November 29, 2025, leaving countless memories shaped by his humor, kindness, and loyal heart. Born on May 16, 1962, in Louisville, Kentucky, Bob was a man who embodied the spirit of hard work and camaraderie throughout his life.

A graduate of Doss High School, Bob carved a career path that took him through many manufacturers, including Quality Aluminum Products, where he met the love of his life, Pam. Their union blossomed into a beautiful family, and Bob's work ethic was a testament to his character—a man committed not only to his profession but also to nurturing the relationships that surrounded him. Most recently, he was employed at Star Construction, where he was known for his unwavering dedication and infectious humor.

To his family and friends, Bob was a jokester with a free spirit. He was laid back yet stubborn at times causing him to be known lovingly as "General Patton". He was a collection of contrasts that came together perfectly, making him unforgettable. His big heart and loyalty won the affection of many, as he shared innumerable moments filled with kindness and support.

Among his fondest memories were the elaborate bonfires he would host; these gatherings brought together friends and family, uniting them in warmth and shared stories under the starry skies. Bob's passion extended beyond the flames—he found joy in hunting, riding his Harley Sportster, and engaging in woodworking, all while listening to the soulful melodies of country, blues, and jazz that filled the soundscape of his life.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Pam Langdon-Walerczak; his cherished daughters, April Wise, Sarah Gant, Jessica Goldsmith, and Jenny (Jim) Bluhm; along with seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of love and laughter. He is also survived by his sisters, Karen (Dan) Schroan and Faye (Leon) Benham, and eleven nieces and nephews, all of whom will forever remember the warmth he brought to their lives. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hazel Langdon, as well as his sisters, Barbara Palmer and Joyce Donahoe.

A visitation to honor Bob will be held on Saturday, December 13th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM . Family and friends are invited to come together and celebrate the life of an extraordinary man who touched the lives of all who knew him. In the embrace of memory, may we continue to share in Robert A. Langdon Jr.'s spirit, finding joy in every bonfire, every melody, and every moment lived.
