Robert L. Johnson
Robert Leroy Johnson, 89, of New Albany, Indiana, formerly of South Haven, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Lincoln Hill Nursing Home in New Albany. He was a retired superintendent for Cannonie Construction Company and an Army veteran of WWII.
Robert was born on January 22, 1921 in Frankonia, Minnesota to the late Arthur and Freda Johnson, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Ridley) Johnson, and a brother, Loren Johnson.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary E. Morris of New Albany, son, Richard L. Johnson and his wife, Lois, of Kentwood, Michigan; brothers, Arthur Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Connie, of Grand Junction, Michigan, Howard Johnson and his wife, Joanie, of Monroe, Michigan; grandchildren, Jeremy and Joshua Johnson and Danny Morris; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Wesley Johnson and Robert D.L. Morris.
Cremation was chosen following Robert's wishes. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date in Terre Haute, Indiana.
