Robert Kenney
February 3, 1930 — January 5, 2015
Robert Leslie "Mr. K" Kenney travelled his final journey to an everlasting life on Monday, January 5, 2015. He was 84 years young and the second of nine children born to the late Roger and Mary Ann Kenney.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty and Lois; brothers, James "Dud", Lindel "Buck", and Roger Kenney; children, Diane and Bill Kenney. His "dear love" Dottie Kenney died in June, 2014.
He is survived by his sons, Robert "Bobby" (Sandy) and James "Jim" (Joan) Kenney; step-children, Anne Luttrell, Barbara Cothron, Charlie and Wally (Susan) Kallbreier; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brother, Edward (Doris); sisters, Bernice Druck and Linda Owens and his precious cat, Dolly.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 8, 2015, from 2pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of life will be Friday, January 9, 2015, at 10am at St. Lawrence Church, 1925 Lewiston Drive, Shively, KY 40216.
Interment will be at St. Andrew Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus of Louisville, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Drive, Louisville, KY.
