Robert Neely Jones, 77, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday morning, December 7, 2017. He had worked in security at both Brown & Williamson and Jewish Hospital. Robert enjoyed working out in his yard.
He was born on January 25, 1940, in New Albany to the late George and Mary Alice (Gullett) Jones. Robert was also preceded in death by his siblings, Delores "Gerry" Grether and Charles "Bud" Jones.
Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Isabelle (Hale) Jones; children, Lori Robertson (Mark) and Marty Jones (Mary); granddaughters, Samantha and Elizabeth Jones; siblings, Russell Jones and Phyllis Beaven (John); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Newcomer – Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Cremation will follow according to Robert's wishes, and he will be laid to rest privately at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
The family requests that contributions in his memory be made to the American Red Cross (510 East Chestnut Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40202).
