Robert E. Guinn

Robert "Bob" E. Guinn, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018.

He was born on January 11, 1947 in London, Kentucky. He grew up in Glendale, KY and graduated from East Hardin High School. He honorably served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Speed School at U of L, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He also had a passion for teaching. He was an instructor at ITT, Ivy Tech & Sullivan University.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Phyllis Guinn, son, Robert Earl Guinn, Jr., daughter, Lara E. Thalman, 4 grandchildren, Ashley Guinn, Christopher Jackson, Jackson Thalman, Memphis Thalman, 2 great grandchildren, Jayden Sweeney, Shane Likes, brother-in-law, Paul (Vicky) Larimore, 2 nieces, Meredith & Meaghan Larimore, 1 great niece, Ava Pennington. He is preceded in death by his foster parents, Erwin & Ann Casebier.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Robert's memory be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
