Robert Glenn"Bobby" Alvey

Robert G. "Bobby" Alvey, 64, of Floyds Knobs, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. Bobby was an avid fan of the Louisville Cardinals and enjoyed spending time on his back deck watching the birds visit his feeders. He was a retired electrician out of IBEW Local 369.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ren and Mary Ruby (Wilson) Alvey; and brothers, Howard Alvey and George Alvey. Bobby is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cheryl (Wilke) Alvey; sons, Anthony Alvey (Suzanne) and Aaron Alvey; daughter, Alana Alvey (Dennis Andres Jr.); grandchildren, Jayce Alvey, Dennis Andres III, Zane Andres and Wren Alvey; Sister, Wanda Luckett (Dan) and countless loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 PM to 8 PM on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 10 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
