Robert Earl Brown

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Earl Brown, known to the world as the beloved social media influencer Mr. Grouchy. Born on November 27, 1983, in Louisville, KY, Robert left us on June 1, 2026. His remarkable life was a beacon of laughter, love, and inspiration to millions.

Rob was more than just a digital star; he was an amazing father, husband, and friend who could light up any room with his presence. With a magnetic personality that drew over 10 million followers, he changed countless lives with his humor, dancing, and genuine spirit. His children were his entire world, and his love for them was evident in every smile they shared. Beyond his online persona, Rob was a true artist in music—expressing his creativity in ways that touched many hearts. He enjoyed playing Xbox and 2K, loved his tattoos and enjoyed basketball. 

He is survived by his wife, Jessica Wallen, and his cherished children: Kyle Hornback, Jayln Brown, Kashton Brown, Asia Owens, Jaidyn Cardwell, Marlee Brown and Braylee Brown, Robert is also survived by his mother, Janice Brown, and numerous other family and friends who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Earl Shacklett.

A visitation to honor Rob's remarkable life will be held on Thursday, June 11th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr., Louisville, KY 40243. It will be a time for all who knew him to gather and celebrate the joy he brought into their lives. There will be a private funeral service to follow.

Finding words to fully capture Rob's essence is no easy task. He was a one-of-a-kind individual whose impact reached far beyond the screen. His humor, kindness, and artistry have left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though we mourn his loss, we also cherish the memories he gave us—a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity that will never fade.
