Robert Dorton

Robert Kenny Dorton, 72, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on February 15, 2017. He was born on September 26, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky. Kenny was a United States Army veteran and worked for Rainbow Bakery in Louisville and retired after many years of service. He enjoyed fishing, movies, and watching wrestling.

Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Conatser) Dorton; daughters; Elizabeth and Jackie; and brother, David. He is survived by his loving children, Pamela, Janet , Douglas (Debbie), and Allen (Susan); 11 grandchildren, Ricky, Robbie, Jessica, Joanna, Tabby, Bruce, Stephanie, Pam, Brittany, Josh, and Corey; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2016, from 2 to 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150) with his Funeral Service to follow at 6 PM.
