Robert Carl Carter, Sr.
November 4, 1933 — January 6, 2019
Robert Carl "Buck" Carter, 85, passed away on January 6, 2019. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 43 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and softball. He enjoyed collecting coins and giving them to his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ollie Carter; siblings, Fossie, Beulah Mae, Dorothy Mae, Roy, Jr., Ronald, and Billy Joyce and son-in-law, Leonard Lanham.
Buck is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Gracie Carter; children, Robert (Kathy) Carter, Jr., Judy Lanham, Brenda (JP) Fugate, Billy (Laura) Carter and Becky (Pep) Leon; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 3pm-6pm with a celebration of Buck's life beginning at 6pm.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy be sent to Hope Life Center, P.O. Box 197206, Louisville, KY 40259.
