Robert Boone Sargent

Robert "Bob" Boone Sargent, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021.
He was born on April 24, 1943 in Wolfe County, Kentucky to William and Mae (Tyree) Sargent. Along with his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his siblings, Pauline Crase, Gene Sargent, Danny Sargent, Junior Sargent, and Gloria Fay.
Bob retired after 21 years from the U.S. Navy Submarine Service and then went to work at Ireland Army Hospital at Fort Knox; where he retired after 37 years as a Facilities Manager. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Anna Lee Sargent, children, Michelle (Troy) Remines, and Robert (Tina Michelle ) Sargent, Jr., grandchildren, Katie (Matthew) Gavin, Courtney (Matthew) Beaty, Patrick Remines, McKenzie Sargent, Nathan Duff, and Shelbi Sargent, great grandchildren, Kennedy, Harper, Tanner, Charlotte, Marley, and Emma, his siblings, Jim Sargent and Shirley Crase, and his little side kick, Izzy.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
