Robert Arthur Bauer

June 12, 1930 — October 5, 2018

Robert Arthur Bauer, 88, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on October 5, 2018. He was a United States Army veteran and retired from ICI in Charlestown. Robert was a member of the Elks Lodge #362 and had participated in the Rebels Hot Rod Club.

He was born on June 12, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Arthur and Ada (Irwin) Bauer. Robert was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Lucas) Bauer.

Robert is survived by his children, Theresa Lynn Bauer, Rob Bauer (Laura), and Steve Bauer (Laurie); sister, Carol Ann Hasma (Howard); brother, Donald Bauer; and grandchildren, Gabe (fiancée, Lauren Tingle), Gavin, Garren, and Lucas Bauer.

Cremation was chosen and a reception of family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his memorial service taking place at 5:00 p.m. Private burial with military honors will take place at New Albany National Cemetery.
