Robert Joseph Antoine, 59, was born on December 15, 1958, and entered eternal peace on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Bobby was the youngest son of Leo F. and Henrica Knaapen Antoine, who preceded him in death, as did his niece Cara Mazzoni.
Bobby's life was one of many struggles, but he had much support from his family and his many friends, most notably, Jericho Cook, who treated him like he was family. Bobby was a kind-hearted person who cared about those around him, and was quick to share what little he had with others. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving siblings, Veronica (Nikki) Morgan (Jim), Sue Becker (Bob), Mark Hixon (Sheri), Ginny Lanham (Tom), Joan Antoine, Charlotte Colyer (Don), Leo Antoine (Lisa), and Mary Mazzoni (Steve), as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
Visitation will be Sunday the 25th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Highland Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road; there will be a private graveside service at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Bobby's family would like to thank his hospice nurses and also Colonial Hall Manor for the kind, compassion, and loving care they gave to Bobby during the last two years of his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bobby's memory to Colonial Hall Manor Personal Care Home, 920 Henry Clay Street, Shelbyville, KY, or Hosparus.
