Robbie Laverne Burton

Robbie Laverne Burton, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Robbie was a very soft spoken and kind natured person. She was passionate about her family and cherished her sons, Bobby and Dwayne. Robbie always had a smile on her face and was loyal and dependable. Robbie was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses and cherished the relationships she made. She missed her sons deeply until the end of her life. Robbie will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on December 9, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to Robert and Margaret (Norrington) Yancey. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Mitchell Yancey; mother, Margaret Yancey; brother, Orlando Yancey; sister, Pamela Norwood; sons, Dwayne Mitchell Burton; and Bobby Eric Burton.

Robbie is survived by her loving family, brother, Ronald Eric (Shirley) Yancey; nieces, Toni Watters, Cynthia Lewis, Patrice Malone, Angela (Kimothy) Veneable; Ashley Nicole Worley; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home.
