Robbie Bell, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021.

She was born on May 5, 1933 in Elkton, Kentucky to Wallace and Minnie (Thurston) Leavell. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Daniel Bell; grandson, Thomas "Checkmate" D. Bell; grandson, Pernell A. Dillard; sister, Cora Shanklin; brother, Henry Walter Leavell; brother, Morris Leavell; sister, Willie M. Bell; brother, Maceo Leavell; sister, Emma E. Fugate; and brother, Major Leavell.

She is survived by her daughter, Dervina "Necie" V. Bell; son, Larry L. (Melissa) Bell; daughter, LaQuita Bell; son, Pernell Bell, 13 grandchildren, Troy T. Bell, Juan M. Bell, Tawanda Stephenson, Lovaughn "J.R." P. Samuels, Ebony N. Bell, Tamika R. Bell, Montanez Perkins, Danyel Thomas, Brandon Q. Samuels, Mahogany Fant, Damond D. Dillard, Shenell Avery, Keisha Avery; 42 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Bettye D. Bellamy, Sarah M. Leavell, Beulah E. McIntosh, Gertrude (Wilbur) Robinson; special life long friend, Essie Arvin; god-daughter, Sharron Sales; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to say a special "thank you" to the nurses, doctors and caregivers at Norton's ICU 4F and Hosparus for all of their special care they provided our mother.

A Good Friday Night Memorial in memory of Mrs. Robbie L. Bell will take place Friday, April 2nd at 6:00 pm at Portland Memorial Baptist Church (38th Street & Market Street). The family is requesting that all attendees wear shades of green.
