Rita Joyce (Fowler) Lincoln, 74, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016. She enjoyed reading as well as spending time with her family and friends. Rita adored her grandchildren and over the course of her life had served as a caregiver to many.
She was born on April 20, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Chester and Harriett (Wheatley) Fowler. Rita was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lincoln; son, Robbie Lincoln; and several brothers and sisters.
Rita is survived by her sons, John Lincoln, Kevin Lincoln (Tracey), Christofer Lincoln, Tony Lincoln; sisters, Emma Dierking, Donna Lueke, Barbara O'Leary (Pat); grandchildren, Kristina, Ella, Maryjane, Jack Lincoln; and great-granddaughter, Kaliyah Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany). Rita will be laid to rest at a later date with her husband in New Albany National Cemetery.
