Rita Christine Carroll

Rita Christine "Chrissy" Carroll, 41, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Chrissy will always be remembered for the love that she had for her family, friends, and the outdoors, especially boating at the lake.

Chrissy was born on December 13, 1976, in New Albany, to Josh and Rita "Collean" (Robb) Carroll. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Zola Toops, and Rosie and Donald Robb.

Along with her parents, Chrissy is survived by her children, April Lowe, Christina "Nina" Small, Brittany Swartz (Matthew Roberts), and Joshua Carroll; sister, Melody Johnson (Craig Dyke); and grandchildren, Carson Small, Shannon Abell, Jayson Swartz, and Bryson Denton.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue Thursday, March 8, 2018, from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM with her Funeral Service following at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Galena Cemetery.
