Rickey A. Banet

Rickey Anthony Banet, age 69, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on August 16, 2025.

He was born on January 24, 1956, in New Albany, Indiana, the son of George and Catherine Banet.

Rickey's legacy lives on in the laughter shared by those who knew him and in the countless memories shaped by his humor, kindness, and heart. A proud supporter of fellow veterans, Rickey spent many meaningful hours at the local VFW, where he found camaraderie, friendship, and a sense of community that he deeply valued.

He is survived by his daughter, Sara Popp; his sons, Dustin and Dylan Banet; his brothers, George, David, and Ronnie Banet; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Rickey is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Joanne Hauber, Geraldine Seewer, and Darlene Banet.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana), with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
