Rickey Weldon Asbury, II, 47, passed away on May 5, 2017. He loved watching WWE wrestling, camping, fishing and watching NASCAR. Rickey enjoyed going to the CMA Music Fest every year with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Rae Asbury; grandparents, Willie Thurman and Hallie Mae Asbury and Steve and Betty Bowling and step-mother, Janice Goldsmith Asbury
Rickey is survived by his wife, Mary Asbury; daughters, Victoria Diane Asbury and Samantha Lynn Asbury; father, Rick (Janet) Asbury; sisters, Michelle D. (Wes) Sharer, Victoria M. Kampschaefer and Terrey (Chuck) Flowers; brothers, Nicholas B. (Melissa) Asbury and Jason L. Asbury; step-sisters, Marci (Ed) Wall and Kasey Sinclair; step-brother, Andy Sinclair; in laws, Gilbert and Diane Searcy, numerous nieces, nephews and one great-nephew.
Visitation will be Monday, May 8, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 1pm-8pm. A celebration of Rickey's life will be Tuesday, May 9, 2017, beginning at 1pm.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus of Louisville, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Drive, Louisville, KY 40205
