Rick Blakely

Richard Louis "Rick" Blakely, age 61 of Louisville, passed away peacefully at Norton Hospital on Monday, June 7, 2021. He was born September 23, 1959 to Robert L. Blakely, Jr. and the late Joan Dockter. He retired as a proud concrete worker. He was a member of Nelson County Baptist Church. He was a simple person who loved his family very much.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Maggie; his children, Alan, Jeffery and Amy; step-children, Steven Cowles, Daniel Cowles and Sarah Tungate; his father, Robert L. Blakely; brothers, Robert L. Blakely, Jr. and Ronald W. Blakely; his sister, Robin J. Reynolds; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm at Nelson County Baptist Church, 55 Lutheran Church Road, Bardstown, Kentucky 40004. A memorial service to celebrate Rick's life will be at 7pm there.
