Richard Kenneth Wilbert, was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 9, 1960, and passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025.
Richard found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a particular fondness for playing poker and always enjoyed evenings spent watching his favorite shows on MeTV, with a special fondness for the classic series M*A*S*H*. Richard had a deep passion for horses and horse racing.
His proudest accomplishment was the deep love he held for his family, especially his grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with them, providing a source of joy and support in their lives. He is survived by his children, Jeremy Wilbert (Heather), Richard Wilbert III (Michelle), Ryan Wilbert (Joselyn), and Briana Weddle (Tyler). In addition to his children, Richard leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren: Kelsi (Ace), Angel, Jay, Chase, Lillian, Colton, Rose, Daniel, Mia, Paxton, McKenzie, Cameron, and Nicholas, along with a cherished great-granddaughter, Emmie.
Richard's love for his family was matched only by the devotion he showed to his late wife, Patty Wilbert, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage before her passing. Their bond was a cornerstone of his life, often reflecting the profound sense of partnership and love that he carried throughout his journey.
As we remember Richard Kenneth Wilbert, we celebrate a man who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
