Richard "Rich" Loren Scott, Sr.

Richard “Rich” Loren Scott Sr., 80, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026. Rich loved being outdoors and all kinds of sports including swimming, hiking, running, biking and golf. He also loved working at Pacers and Racers running store and talking to and helping customers have a good experience buying shoes and running apparel.

He was born on December 1, 1945, in Glendale, California to the late Harold Scott and Alverda (Dawkins) Scott. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Claudia (Bent) Simonsen.

Rich is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Carolyn Scott, son, Richard L. (Jennifer) Scott, Jr.; daughter, Shannon N. (Tim) Drevno; grandchildren, McKenna Drevno, Zach (Sophie) Drevno, and Baylee Drevno, Isaiah Scott, Emily Scott, Addison Scott, and sister, Nancy B. (Jim) Cook.

Cremation was chosen following Rich’s wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held on from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Clark County REMC Shelter House, located on State Road 60 at exit 7 off of I-65.
