Richard Harold Rodewig, Sr., 78, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a devout Christian.
He was born on January 13, 1942, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Joseph and Martha (Turner) Rodewig. Richard was also preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn (Carroll) Rodewig; son, Richard Rodewig, Jr.; daughter, Teresa Bennett; sisters, Agnes Niemeir, Frances Linne, Martha Manship, Katherine Kemp, and Freida Campbell; and brothers, Henry, Raymond, Kenneth, Sr., Bill, and Richard Rodewig.
Richard is survived by his sons, Robert Rodewig (Angie) and Tracy Rodewig; son-in-law, Michael Bennett (Stacie); daughter-in-law, Sherry Rodewig; brother, Bob Rodewig; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held privately, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. Richard will be laid to rest at Otterbein Cemetery in Laconia, Indiana.
