Richard Oberhausen, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019. Richard was a Veteran of the United States Airforce serving during the Vietnam War. He was an avid U of L sports fan, and supporter of Southwest Living Free. Richard was a member of Southwest Assembly of God Church in Valley Station. 1968 Graduate of Seneca High School. He was a devoted family man, who loved camping and fishing with his family.
He was born on May 5, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to Raymond and Catherine (Scifers) Oberhausen. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers, Sonny Oberhausen, Bobby Oberhausen, and Sister, Mary Lou Peak.
Richard is survived by his loving Wife of 32 years, Joyce Oberhausen, Daughters, Kelly Cody, Dana (Michael) Prazinko, and Dawn Harrison, Son, Daniel (Lora) Harrison, Jr., Grandchildren, Julia Wray, Brooke Wray, Madison Harrison, Tina Wray, and Abigail Harrison, Brothers, Buddy Oberhausen, and Donnie (Donna) Oberhausen, and Sister-In-Law, Jean Oberhausen. Richard also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, and his beloved dog Snuggles.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central).
