Richard E. Noel

June 23, 1936 — May 1, 2017

Richard E. Noel, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on June 23, 1936 to the late Grover Noel and Ruby Santinac. He was a retired painter and a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served in the Korean War. Richard was a member of VFW Post 6182.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his step-father, Emile Santinac.

Richard is survived by his beloved children, Cheryl (Henry) White, Richard Edward (Lisa) Schardein, Raymond (Varicia) Noel, Richard Emile (Debbie) Noel, Rich (Shannon) DeMint, Brian DeMint, Marvin Johnson and Claudia Warren; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; dear friend and former wife, Carol Noel; and a host of other family members and friends.

A graveside Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the family to help with funeral expenses.
