Richard Steven McCauley

Richard Steven McCauley, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

He was born on November 19, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Richard and Iris (Schaffer) McCauley. He also is preceded in death by his twin sister, Susan Horgan and brother, Jeffrey McCauley.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Martha "Martie" L. McCauley, daughters, Katie McCauley Floyd (Evan), Lisa Ann McCauley (Mathew Meek), grandson, Luka Floyd, granddaughter, Rose Meek McCauley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).

The family requests that contributions in Steve’s memory be made to the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation and/or the VFW Post 1170.
