Richard Macveigh

March 17, 1932 — January 20, 2014

Richard Patrick MacVeigh, 81, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014.
He was born to the late Francis and Adelaide Sweeney MacVeigh in Chicago, IL on March 17, 1932. He was a graduate of Purcell High School in Cincinnati and a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a longtime Boy Scout leader and a member of Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Arleen (Short) MacVeigh; four children, Daniel MacVeigh (Katie), Dianne Skarbo (Kurt), Catherine Hillyard (Todd), Lee Anne Meyer (Cary), 10 grandchildren, brother Robert, twin brother Gibbs and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eileen Herbst MacVeigh.

Visitation will be Thursday January 23, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243 from 4-8pm. Service will be Friday at 10am at Newcomer Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
