Richard Jerome "Jerry" Heavrin, 70, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015. He was born on April 28, 1945 to the late Samuel L. & Nellie L. (Wilcox) Heavrin. Jerry had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching NASCAR, and collecting Elvis memorabilia. His fun presence will be missed by all that knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Samuel, William, Joseph, Lenny, "Charles" Patrick, & Victor Heavrin. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Heavrin; step-daughter, Wanessa Hampton; brothers, Rodney, Nick, Ted, & Randall Heavrin; sister, Vivian Holbrook; grandson, Charles Jerome "C.J." Ibrahim; and former wife, Wendy Goodman.
Cremation was chosen following Jerry's wishes.
