Richard Joseph Geist, Sr.

Richard Joseph "Rick" Geist, Sr. 64, Louisville, KY passed away on June 24, 2018. He was a member of Southwest Assembly of God, he loved the church were he played music and sang. Rick was a devout Christian and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Thomas and Ruth Marie Geist and his sister, Cyndi Tschida.

Rick is survived by his wife, Donna Geist; children, Melissa (Duane) Manska, Rick (Leah) Geist, Jr. and Andrew Asher; grandchildren, Devon Manska, Bailey Geist, Daezsa Price, Justus Price, Gavin Geist, Haley Manska, Lyric Geist and Brandon Manska; siblings, Tom Geist, Sharon (Al) Wade, Steve (Anne) Geist and Jill (Mike) Davis and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, June 29, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 3pm-8pm. A celebration of Rick's life will be Saturday, June 30, 2018, beginning at 10am at the chapel of the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
