Richard Patrick Flaherty

Richard "Rick" Patrick Flaherty, 64, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
Rick was born on June 1, 1956 in Louisville to the late Richard and Irene (Schaffner) Flaherty. He was a 1975 graduate of Doss High School, retired from Brown Foreman and was a member of Local Teamsters for 39 years. After Rick retired he spent his days as a handyman; helping his friends and family whenever he could. He will be truly missed by so many people; especially his wife and children. For all that knew him he can be described in one simple phrase; A Damn Good Man.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Patti Flaherty, children, Shaun Flaherty, Shannon Flaherty, and Megan Flaherty.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Sunday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to his family to help with final expenses.
