Richard Lee Day

Richard "Dick" Day, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, December 2, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Dick was a retired salesman for Horton Fruit Co.

He was born on June 15, 1939 in Milltown, Indiana to Roy and Juanita Day. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers (Roy and Mike Day), and stepdaughter Vicki Lescailles.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Clarice Day, daughters; Laura L. Wheeler, Allison Day (Rick) Walker, Kelly Jo (Greg) Heavrin, sons; Jeff Day and Ricky A. Day, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home.

The family requests that contributions in Richard's memory be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
