Richard J. Carpenter, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020. Richard loved fishing and horse racing. He enjoyed spending time with his Grandkids and Great-Grandkids. He also loved his dog Snookums.
He was born on October 5, 1940 in Lexington, Kentucky to Maurice and Sophie (Back) Carpenter. He is preceded in death by his Father, Maurice Carpenter, Mother, Sophie Carpenter, Wife, Janet Sue Carpenter: Granddaughter Rebecca Childers and 8 Siblings.
Richard is survived by his loving Children, Scott (Peggy) Carpenter, Tricia (Scott) Childers, and Stephanie J. Bond: Grandchildren, Kayla M Bond, Marissa B Bond, Jarred O Bond, and Philip (Chelsea) Heath: Great-Grandchildren, Kaiden D Roberts, Conner L Roberts, and Elaina M Roberts as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his memory.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 5:30 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
