It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Alan Byrd announces his passing on the 4th of April, 2020 at the age of 60 years old. Ricky was born on September 30, 1959 to Charlene and the late Richard Byrd of Louisville, Kentucky. He was an avid Louisville Cardinal fan and loved to hunt and spend time with his niece and nephews, Billy, Matthew, Jessica, Jimmy, Jackson and Josh. Ricky worked at Cardinal Aluminum for over 35 years. Besides his father, Richard E. Byrd, Ricky is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Ilene McCarty; paternal grandparents, Stanley and Ann Byrd.
Ricky will be greatly missed by his mother, Charlene Byrd; sister, Vicky Byrd; brother, Bobby Byrd; 2 nephews, 1 niece, 3 great-nephews; and a host of family and friends.
