Richard A. "Dick" Alm, Sr., 87, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021. Dick was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a long-time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany.
He was born on August 27, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Elmer and Frances Alm. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Douglas Alm; brother, Thomas Alm; and mother of his children, Ann (Frederick) Alm.
Dick is survived by his loving sons, Richard (Debbie Mahoney) Alm, Jr., David (Elizabeth Wheeler) Alm, and Dennis (Alesia Garcia) Alm; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen following Dick's wishes. Dick will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Louisville, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
