Richard Albert Zimmerman

Richard Albert Zimmerman, 74, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, Kentucky following his long term illness of COPD.
Richard was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky on November 22, 1941 to the late Albert and Mable Zimmerman. In his early years Richard was a member of the Kosair Shiners for 15 years and volunteered with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department for 5 years. Richard enjoyed the outdoors; he spent a lot of time hunting, fishing and enjoyed sitting outdoors enjoying the country views.
Survivors include his wife of 9 years, Nancy Zimmerman, sons, Allan Zimmerman and Chad Zimmerman; five grandchildren, Julia Zimmerman, Clayton Zimmerman, Colton Zimmerman, Jalen Russell, Jared Russell and many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 10:00am until the time of the memorial service at 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, Kentucky 40243.
