Richard M. Abbott

Richard M. Abbott, 58, of Louisville, KY, passed away on September 7, 2021. He loved to go fishing; watching sports and wrestling. Richard enjoyed joking with everyone and making them laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary Devon and Bonnie Jane Abbott, Sr.

Richard is survived by his wife, Betty Abbott; children, Ashely Abbott, Christopher Abbott, Jacob Abbott, Crystal Love, Tabitha Love and Summer Vernoy; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Gary Abbott, Jr and Jeffrey Abbott and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 3pm-8pm. A celebration of Richard's life will be Monday, September 20, 2021, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, 10915 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
